Coronavirus Update - 11.7.20

Issued November 7, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. CST

We want to provide an update on COVID-19 within our Oak Trace community. On Friday, November 6th, we received the results of our bi-weekly testing of all health center residents and team members. We learned that one of our health center residents tested positive for the virus; they are being cared for in a special COVID-19 isolation area within our community.

We also learned that there are two team member cases of the virus; they are self-isolating at home with the support of our Human Resources team.

We understand that you have concerns and may have questions about COVID-19 and the current situation in our community.  Please know we continue with our commitment to protect the health and safety of our residents and team members, and our team continues to be proactive in mitigating the risk of further exposure to the virus within our community.

Lifespace and Oak Trace continue to follow heightened infection control guidelines and we highly encourage residents to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments. Residents and team members are encouraged to practice social distancing and wear a mask or face covering when you interact with others in public settings. Proper hand hygiene including handwashing and the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer are essential to preventing the spread of the virus. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will provide regular updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.
